from the part of the Glorious G, we wish you the very best and we hope that 2010 will bring even more glory to out favourite G! And hopefully some more service changes ;)
Is it my idea or it is colder down to the G-lorious Dungeons? Also, going down there yesterday (Classon Station) I was the only person standing in both platforms. The only individuals that kept hanging out, were 2 g-lorious rats eating the remains of a chicken finger. Of course I do not need to mention that they weren't annoyed at all by my presence. At all! * Hoyt-Schermerhon yesterday had some nice "waterfalls" effects. I really enjoyed them. Nice waters coming from the upper level and falling down to the platform where we, G-lorious people were standing.
Is there a navigation system (for the rats) inside the holes of the walls?
The other days after missing the G train I found my self alone on the platform. That's ok, it has happened to me before. So being alone, I am aware that I have many chances of encountering a rat... (ON the platform). And so it happens. I see him, 3 feet away from me (Left side). It's ok, i say to myself... He will not bother me but I kept an eye on him to make sure I control his whereabouts. And he hangs out for a while, searching for a snack and then some more people arrive... NOW! you all know these tiny holes where the rats get in right? right! So i see the rat getting in one of those.. Fair enough! 30 seconds later... the same rat (I assume), appears from another hole on my right side (same platform) where it was like he knew exactly the coordinates so he will not bump into humans! damn! either they are smart either they have gps! I also believe it would be cool for them to have apartment numbers outside the holes ... like Metropolitan Hole 1F (to church avenue).
The more I get to know your people the more I realize how important you are. I have missed you these days since I didn't really take a chance to ride you. But I am back. And being back, means that I have a chance to share the documentary which is inspired by you and made by one of your Loyal Riders. G-lorious Riders Enjoy ! *
Dear G train, not only you become more and more the center of attention after your pageant event but you also become the center of an infinite dialogue :) We all love you!
I like this recent trend of late nights... It's not that new, but I like it. This cool thing where when we finally ride you, you arrive at Bedford -Norstrand and then we change cars just for the sake of not getting bored! Ah! you find so many creative ways to interrupt our boring routine.
Yesterday it's true you you were kind of super late. It was around 11.00 pm... I understand, at the end of the day you are more and more tired. It's ok. What we REALLY appreciate is the fact that when for some reason you cannot honor us with your presence/service, you send somebody else. Now, that's what I call manners.
You are so right. We were really careful not to do that. I think there are not many stickers on the walls. Ads was the main target, but the excitement carried us away at some point. I guess MTA people apart from maybe laughing for a second, they don’t really care about statements posted in such a way. They need to do their work. I always had my concerns and it’s nice that you brought that up.
As for the broadsheets, yes. Taping them is a way to do it. I am not sure yet. I am afraid going public again by interrupting advertising space maybe too provocative. I am working to find a way to distribute it.
I am wondering how many of you get a chance to visit here. I am more than happy to figure out reactions and I think G train is happy to realize that too. There is a Glorious G train Zamisdat * coming soon. I hope I will be able to share that with you too.
Zamisdat = the word "samizdat" is made out of "sam" (Russian: сам, "self, by oneself") and "izdat" (Russian: издат, shortened издательство, izdatel'stvo, "publishing house"), thus, self published.
I know there is something good. The stickers have been hated or loved. JUST like the G train. I enjoyed the "G"ay stickers with the correction from somebody else that one cannot spell. "G" train I loathe you... --> from the stickers *
I thankfully catch up the train but when I wait for the doors to open, nothing really happens. The train car in front of me was empty and locked. :P Then, from my right side I hear somebody calling me... "Here! Here!" ha! A police officer waived at me and hold the door of the next car.. (ALL this time I almost had a heart attack thinking that there was a chance that this train leaves without me!)So, I finally board on the train :P and.... there were 10 police officers ! 10? Tell me which train has 10 police officers for security ! This is attraction. Let me say also there was music playing ( have no idea who had the music playing) but one of the police officers was changing the lyrics and singing something like "Jesus I love you... yoouououou"... and I think to my self : G train : where amazing happens :P
Today I took a chance to meet some of your lovers and haters somewhere at "Yelp". It was frustrating since I believe you do your best as a train. I am sure that they would give you a chance you would be even better. I hear attach you some of the statements. http://www.yelp.com/biz/g-train-new-york#hrid:d9s74_EjWSH92tuK_zuK1w/src:self
The main goal of this project is to give a positive aura to the G train riders' community. How do we take advantage of an everyday experience (not such a pleasant one) to become creative? It is my notion that any kind of experience (bad or good) can become inspiring.
